They have always been good people, no crimes, clean records, lived by the laws, hard workers and pay their taxes. So how can they start treating them like convicts? I don't understand why this country comes up with these ignorant ideas that treat immigrants like animals.They don't care about breaking families apart and treating them like criminals.When actual us citizens are out there committing crimes everyday! My brother has served a term of 18 yrs. in the Lompoc Facility, he as of 2-08-10, has been sent to Mira Loma for deportation, my brother has been a permanent resident for 47 years, he has five sons and three grandson including 7 brothers and sisters in the California, he does not know anyone in Central America in which they will be deporting him very soon. Is there anything we can do to stop the Deportation??? He is very remorseful for his actions and feels he has served his time in prison for possession to contribute cocaine.His record in Lompoc he very clean. It's simply appalling how judges such as the like of her, only get reprimanded for their transgressions. Our criminal justice system prescribes punishment for those who commit crimes, yet one has to wonder, isn't it a crime what this so called judge has done against countless individuals that have had the misfortune of coming before her? My brother had the disgrace of having to stand before her bench. The "eminent" judge Ho CREATED the circumstances to MAKE HIM deportable. She went off the record and "advised" Immigration Officials to drop my brother's original charges, and convert them into "Aggravated Felonies". Furthermore, she didn't allow the attorney representing my brother to even speak on his behalf. She arbitrarily and illegally applied a new law to my brother's case with retroactive effect, and to add to her abuse, she accused my brother of "purposely" marrying and fathering his children in an attempt to avoid deportation - all off the record, of course. The consequence of the "honorable" Judge Ho's decision is that my brother was deported in May 2009, his four American citizen children and his wife are practically starving to death, and in the verge of losing their house which my brother, with hard work and perseverance, bought for them. Not to mention the severe psychological trauma each of his children are enduring at having been separated from their father, and severing from their lives their only mean of support. Thousands of dollars were spent in attorneys to keep my brother's family together. But none could stand before the "mighty" Judge Ho. My brother is now back in our country of origin, which we had left when he was only fourteen (he's now 52), again practically starving and depending entirely on what little I can send him to survive. Unfortunately, according to social standards in my country of origin, he's too old to get a job. And he has tried, and tried, to no avail. I'm struggling to salvage what is left of his family and keep them together; but it's hard. There isn't a day that I don't wonder how the Justice System can allow such heresy to take place. Why keep such heartless and sadist individuals in such a position of power. They are a disgrace to America. I don’t know what else can be done to bring my brother back to reunite with his family and see his children grow up. In any event, there’s no money to pursue further avenues, and as it’s well known, when there’s no money, there is no justice. Thank you for the opportunity to express my frustration and to share some of Judge Ho's "achievements". .
